Music of the Spheres
I LOVE music.
Not just the kinds that I grew up listening to, which covered multiple genres depending on who I was around.
I have an eclectic mix that I listen to depending on my moods.
My music selection translated into high ratings when I was an Uber driver part time for three or four years on top of whatever other part-time jobs I had going on at the time.
Music has always been a way to connect to other people, no matter how different their backgrounds were to mine.
And when I say eclectic, I mean it.
My personal music library can jump from Metallica to Celine Dion to the Temptations to the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Jennifer Lopez to DMX to TV show theme songs I particularly love to Rascal Flatts.
That barely scratches the surface but makes a good start.
Iβm always on the look out for new music from around the world and new conversations with people.
Music gives me a glimpse into the heart of a person. It reinforces the lesson I learned when stationed in South Korea on active duty in the US Army: people are people everywhere no matter how different the language is.
To paraphrase Dumbledore, βmusic is a type of magic.β It is a language in its own right that surpasses misunderstandings between others and connects us to one another. It leaves an indelible mark on us, transforming us in ways we may not understand in the moment.
Music is Love.
